THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of cannabis production worth an estimated £350,000.

A property in Weston High Street near Grove Park was searched on Tuesday by police officers as part of a pre-planned operation.

A 31-year-old from Weston plus two Bristol men aged 26 and 33 were arrested at the scene.

Approximately 160 cannabis plants were seized and electricity was also allegedly being extracted.

Officers went onto search an address in Kingswood later in the day and found a further 230 plants.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary used its Operation Viscount drug prevention squad as well as officers from CID and firearms departments.

Anyone with information that could assist the police is asked to call 101.
