CANNABIS plants were discovered growing in a Weston flat due to their strong smell being sniffed out by a patrolling police officer.
A member of the south ward policing team detected followed scent when patrolling the Bournville estate and it led them to the property in Byron Road.
The flat was raided on Saturday morning when three mother plants and 12 younger ones were seized, along with equipment used to grow them.
There was no one in the flat when the warrant was carried out but police are searching for a male they believe to be the occupant.
