Two cars crashed at a busy junction in Burnham-on-Sea yesterday (Thursday), with one woman needing hospital treatment.

The incident happened at around 1.40pm and police and ambulance crews were on the scene at the junction of the South Esplanade and Pier Street for a number of hours.

A police spokesman said: “There were no serious injuries, but a woman was treated for a suspected neck injury.”
