Car flips in M5 crash

A CAR flipped during a crash on the M5 this morning (Thurs).

Two fire engines were called to the stricken vehicle which came to a rest on its side in the outside lane of the motorway.

The accident occurred on the northbound carriageway between Bridgwater (junction 22) and Burnham (junction 21) shortly after 7.30am. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver and passenger managed to free themselves before Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews arrived on the scene. Neither are injured.

The accident site is in the process of being cleared.
