Police are hunting three men who crashed a car into a town store and stole a large amount of perfume and aftershave.

The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday) at the Superdrug store in Burnham-on-Sea High Street.

At around 2am, a black or dark-coloured Mazda was reversed into the store before three men went inside and stole the fragrances.

A police spokesman told the Mercury an investigation is under way and police are reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out forensic investigations.

They added: “We are appealing for anyone who saw this incident to come forward, as well as anyone who knows of a black or dark-coloured Mazda which has suffered damage to its rear.”
