A FAMILY is offering a £1,000 reward for their collie dog, which was in a Landrover when it was stolen from Highbridge. Richard Adams, a farmer from Cheddar, was attending the Highbridge Farmers' Market on Monday (Dec 11) when his car was stolen. Jem, a black and white border collie, was in the vehicle at the time. Owner Sarah Adams said: "It makes you mad that a car was stolen, but the fact our dog was in there is so upsetting. "Not only was she a good working dog for the farm, she was a pet as well. It is so sad the children have lost their pet at Christmas."The Adams' four children aged five-16 are all very upset with the loss. Sarah added: "I would urge anyone who knows something to call the police. We are not bothered about the car. We just want our dog back."Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
