A TYRE slasher has gone on the rampage, causing damage to more than 40 cars in Worle.About 15 people in Old Bristol Road, Griffin Close and New Bristol Road had a blade put through their tyres of their vehicles in the early hours of Saturday (Sept 16).The slasher struck again between 1-4am on Wednesday (Sept 20), attacking another 30 cars in Dartmouth Close, Appletree Court, Old Bristol Road and the High Street.Kerry Hayes, of Dartmouth Close, had the rear driver's side tyre on her Audi TT damaged. The 29 year-old said: "I only bought the car about a month ago and it cost me £14,000 so I'm really annoyed. I didn't hear anything last night. But I think it's probably kids who have done it."You live outside Weston to avoid the hassle and this still happens."Weston Town Council leader Robert Payne, who lives in Old Bristol Road, had two tyres slashed on his Vauxhall Corsa and Land Rover Freelander. He said: "Two tyres on each car meant we couldn't even put the spare on to get to the garage. Just repairing one car is costing about £200."The police are asking anyone who may have seen somebody acting suspiciously in the area to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
