A NEW £3,000 cardiac bed has been donated to Weston General Hospital.
It was given to the hospital by Wrington Vale Rotary Club.
A club spokesman said: “Following a visit to Weston General Hospital, the-then president of the Wrington Vale Rotary Club, Peter Roswell, was somewhat concerned about the poor state of the cardiac bed and voiced his concerns with Dr Edwards, the cardiology specialist at that time.
“Various discussions then took place with the hospital management team.
“These resulted in a decision that a new bed and ancillary equipment could be purchased via the charity funds from Peter Roswell’s Rotary President Fund and the balance from the Wrington Vale Rotary Club.”
The bed and equipment was presented to Dr Ihab Dials and Dr David Hartell.
