A care company which supports people with learning disabilities in their own home has been rated as good by a healthcare watchdog.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected Homes Caring For Autism – which operates across Somerset – and found it was safe, effective, well-led, responsive and caring.

The company provides personal care to people in their own homes and an inspector went on a home visit with carers.

The report says the person was happy with their care and staff were always prompt and supportive.

It adds: “Staff said everyone in the organisation, from the top down, focused on the wellbeing of the people they supported. Staff told us they could always rely on the registered manager for help and advice.”
