STAFF at a nursing home have been praised by inspectors
following a review of its services.

The Willows Nursing Home, in West Wick, has been rated good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

A team of inspectors visited the premises at the end of October and found it to be a safe place to stay, according to the report it released this week.

The home, in Summer Lane, has room for seven people with learning disabilities and complex support needs.

The CQC’s report said: “The service was safe for people. Staff were knowledgeable about people’s needs and the support they required and staff were responsive to people’s needs.”

The CQC ruled the home to be good in four key areas including being caring, effective and management.

However it did say improvements could be made in being more responsive.

While staff checked on patients’ comfort, the CQC felt more feedback could be recorded to ensure the service makes any necessary improvements in future.
