Staff at a Draycott care home are ‘delighted’ after their latest inspection from a healthcare watchdog.

The Laurels Care Home, in Westfield Lane, was handed a ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission.

In the report, the inspector said: “The home was well led by a registered manager and provider who were open and approachable.

“They were committed to continually monitoring standards and improving the service offered to people.”

The report also found people were supported by staff who were well motivated and happy in their roles.

Home manager Becky Green said she was ‘pleased’ the report highlighted the home’s clear vision, putting people at the centre of the service.

She added: “We have a lovely homely atmosphere here at The Laurels, staff go above and beyond everyday to ensure people feel well cared for and retain their independence.
