FESTIVE gifts and children's games were enjoyed by visitors to a village Christmas market on Saturday.
The Claverham market was organised by the Clavertots playgroup, which meets twice a week in the village hall in Bishops Road.
The majority of stallholders at the event were from North Somerset and Bristol. Items including craft pieces and handmade Christmas cards were on sale.
Other activities on offer included a tombola, face-painting, carol singing and henna tattoos, while younger visitors had the opportunity to write a letter to Father Christmas.
Event organiser Laura Ferris said: “Despite the downpours, the car park was rammed and hundreds of people came.
“We had a huge table of delicious donated homemade cakes, including an adults-only gin and tonic flavour.
“We also had a 6ft 2ins elf called Bumble who oversaw the write a letter to Santa stall. The postbox was brimming with letters.
“The market raised £633 in total for Clavertots and Save The Children.”
