Owners of a Somerset pub have helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Mike and Lori Toms, owners of The Strawberry Special in Draycott, hosted their annual end of summer skittles fundraising event.
Despite the rainy weather, a good time was had by all who attended.
People gave generously as they tucked into barbecue food and enjoyed live music from Mayhem.
There was something for all ages with face-painting and a ‘fantastic’ puppet and magic show for the children while the adults put their skittles skills to the test.
The event as a whole raised an amazing £4,317 and is now in its 12th year.
The pair have helped raise almost £50,000 through this single event and the money from this year’s function was donated to local village groups such as St Peter’s Church, the WI, Draycott Football Club, the preschool, the Mendip Players and the defibrillator appeal.
