A snow warning has been issued for Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset by the Met Office.

The yellow weather warning has been issued for Thursday, and is valid from 10am-9pm.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Rain moving eastwards across the south of the UK on Thursday may turn to snow in places.

“While this is unlikely, there is a small chance of snow settling with disruption to road, rail and air services as well as interruptions to power supplies and other utilities. Associated heavy rain and strong winds may prove additional hazards.”

The chief forecaster said heavy rain may persist instead, along with the potential for strong winds.

Weston looks amazing in the snow – here are some snowy pictures from previous years.
