NORTH Somerset Coaches has announced changes to its shopper bus services to Cribbs Causeway.

NORTH Somerset Coaches has announced changes to its shopper bus services to Cribbs Causeway.

The Nailsea-based company rescued the 600 service in May, when North Somerset Council withdrew funding for the First service.

Since taking on the route the company has identified changes that need to be made to help maintain its viability.

From now on the Monday 600 service from Yatton will stop running as will the section of the Friday 601 between Lower Langford and Backwell.

The revised Friday 601 will start at Backwell at 9am and arrive at The Mall at 9.55am.

The section along Pound Lane in NAilsea will be restored but Trendlewood Way will not be served.

The route then remains the same though Wraxall, Long Ashton, past Bristol Zoo and the top of Whiteladies Road.

Four hours of shopping will now be possible at Cribbs Causeway, with the return bus leaving The Mall bus station at 2pm.

Residents in Pill and Easton-in-Gordano now have a Friday bus numbered 600, leaving at 10.30am and running direct via the M5.

Concession card holders can travel for free and the bus is 'hail and ride' so can stop anywhere safe en-route.
