CASH from developers could be used to build a new block of changing rooms at Clevedon seafront.Clevedon town councillors are trying to earmark cash from 106 agreements from local developments to improve facilities on the seafront. The idea for changing rooms came from Councillor Linda Knott who said she would like to see the facility close to the tennis courts and amusement arcades.Money could also be earmarked from the funds to revamp the run down toilets opposite Clevedon Pier.Clevedon Town Council amenity committee chairman Carl Francis Pester said: "There is money to come from various developments in the town and we are going to ask North Somerset Council whether any of it would be available for such facilities."The changing rooms would be a great facility and would be greatly used by people using the lake and seafront in general."The toilets opposite the pier are also in a bad way and we have had complaints about them from visitors."The question is whether it would be more cost effective to rebuild them rather than just refurbish them.We will be talking to North Somerset Council to find out just what funds are available."Some of the 106 money has already been spent on upgrading play equipment in the town and buying new benches along the seafront.
