FREEMASONS from Weston's St Kew Lodge have handed three vital charities cheques totalling more than £6,500.

Crossroads Young Carers, the RNLI and Brainwave were all awarded grants of £2,180 after being nominated as the chosen charities of the master of the lodge, Sandy Glen.

Thanks to the donation the Crossroads Young Carers will be able to send 30 young carers from Weston to the National Young Carers Festival in Hampshire on July 1.
