TWO charities have received more than £10,000 from Burnham Moose lodge 123 after some hard fund-raising.

Moose brothers and members of the Ladies’ Circle have been working hard over the past 12 months collecting, and raising money for the Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance and The Children’s Hospice South-West.

The air ambulance received £7,015.71 and the hospice received £3,367.36.

Nick Pearce, fundraising volunteer for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said: “The ambulance running costs are around £4,000 per day. By presenting this cheque you have potentially saved eight lives.”
