A GROUP of volunteers scaled a near-100ft quarry face to raise £5,000 for a new project.

Volunteers and staff at North Somerset Vision, and the partially-sighted people the charity helps, abseiled down the 98ft cliff in Uphill to raise the cash.

The money will go towards a new volunteer project, supporting up to 100 people who will help blind and partially-sighted people in North Somerset.

The funding will pay for recruitment, training and out-of-pocket expenses.
