Jacob charity ball

A charity ball on Saturday raised a staggering £18,650 for two-year-old Jacob Baird.

The Milton toddler has cerebral palsy and needs a £75,000 operation to help him walk. The procedure is not offered on the NHS and so his family have been fundraising tirelessly to fly him to the United States for the surgery.

The ball was held in Batch Country House Hotel in Lympsham and featured an auction, live band and four-course meal.

Jacob’s mum Nicola says her family is ‘stunned’ at the ‘absolutely phenomenal’ sum.
