THE founder of an international animal charity visited its shop in Weston.
Animals Asia, in West Street, is the charity’s only shop in the world and 80 per cent of its takings goes towards helping animals who are the victims of bear bile farming.
Staff and volunteers got the chance to meet founder Jill Robinson last week, who was visiting from China.
Shop manager Denise Jacobs said: “The visit from Jill, who works tirelessly over in China, was wonderful.
“Jill wanted to take some time out during her visit to the UK to come to Weston, and she was very grateful to the town’s people for their generosity.”
