Charity cake-off at craft fair

WITH a brass band to listen to and an array of stalls to enjoy, it is no wonder Weston Hospicecare's Great Cake Off was such a success.
There were homemade sponges and delicate cupcakes on offer during the event at the vintage and crafts fair at Clarence Park on August 3.
The sweet treats, made by volunteer bakers, raised £260 for the hospice.
The sunshine attracted many visitors on the day, who were also treated to a fantastic repertoire by the North Somerset Community Brass Band, while children were kept entertained with a bouncy castle and face-painting.
Cakes were donated by Weston businesses including Stoneleigh Residential Home, Oxford Corner, Cafe Treats and Hills Bakers.
