A CHARIOT ride is being held at the weekend to raise money for a charity which helps families cope with cancer.

The Cheddar Chariot Challenge starts at 1pm on Saturday at Cheddar reservoir, and is a three-and-a-half mile cycle along the Strawberry Line to Sandford Station where refreshments will be served.

The ride continues to Bucklegrove campsite for a barbecue and bacon butties the next day.

The ride raises money for the Nicola Corry Support Foundation, and those taking part should be in teams of between two and six people and wearing pink.

Teams have to travel the distance with at least one person on non-motorised wheels, with people urged to be as creative and innovative as possible in their choice of transport.

To enter, visit www.ncsf.org.uk and fill in an entry form or email Julie@ncsf.org.uk

It is £5 to enter, and £10 to pitch if you are camping, and it is asked people try to raise minimum sponsorship of £25.
