BALLOON modelling, crafts and music will all feature in a charity fun day being held in Dylan Cecil's memory.

The event, which will be held on September 29, will raise funds to donate to all the rescue services who worked tirelessly to find the youngster.

Dylan Cecil was visiting his grandparents with his parents and two sisters when he fell from Burnham jetty and disappeared into the water on August 19.

A major search operation was carried out throughout the night and the following day to find the youngster. It involved the Coastguard, RNLI and the Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB). Dylan’s body was eventually found four days later near the town’s yacht club.

The charity music and fun day will be held from noon to 11pm at The Dunstan House Inn, in Love Lane, Burnham.

Activities will include a kids’ hour from noon to 1pm with face-painting, arts and crafts and a bouncy castle. Live music starts at 1pm and will include The Ovation Brothers, Ping & I, The Riverbrew and Snatch & Co.

All this entertainment will be held alongside a performance from comedian Buster, a raffle and an auction which will give participants the chance to secure tickets to a Katie Melua concert, five hours of free studio recording time and £100 off an MOT and service.
