PEOPLE across Weston and North Somerset are being urged to donate unwanted Christmas gifts to a vital charity.
Weston Hospicecare has issued the appeal for people to bring in unwanted presents and warm winter clothing to any of its shops.
Among the items already handed in to staff are a rocking horse and carriage, jewellery, books and gifts, with staff saying they will welcome anything which can help the charity meet its target of £3million needed to keep the hospice running.
Retail manager Linda Kelly said: “What we need most of all from you are winter coats, scarves, gloves and other warm clothes.
“With the coldest part of winter just around the corner, we are experiencing high demand from local people for winter warmers, so if you have unwanted winter clothes, please do bring them along to your local shop.”
