FOUR ladies with the combined age of 329 have knitted more than 2,500 jumpers for charity over the past 17 years.

Sheila Stitson, aged 75, with 95-year-old Hilda Alcock, 70-year-old Pam Allen and Ivy Stead, aged 89, have been busy with their needles.

The group has sent jumpers to a variety of charities and are now knitting for Feed The Children.

But the ladies are appealing for anyone who has some spare wool, of any colour and type, to get in touch as their stock has run dry.

Anyone who can help Sheila, of Crookes Lane, Kewstoke, and her friends, is asked to call 01934 412662.
