A 'WILD and krazy' music night was held at the New Inn, in Kewstoke, in aid of Weston Hospicecare at the weekend.
The pub’s manager, Roy Sharpe, said Saturday was the busiest night he had worked in the inn throughout the past four years.
Des Henley’s Singers and Strummers performed at the event and Mr Sharpe said: “It was packed, you couldn’t move. The pub was rammed; we actually ran out of a lot of stock it was so busy.
“We had Des Henley’s Singers, there was 14 of them and they performed for us which was great.
“We made cheese rolls which we sold for £1 each for charity and we sold about 100 of them.”
Mr Sharpe said that once the evening’s proceeds had been totalled, some £400 had been raised for the hospice.
