A WORLE cancer support group is closing in on its target to raise vital funds for Weston General Hospital’s oncology department.

Fuchsia has raised £350 towards the price of a chemotherapy pump and Worle Lions promises to double the fund if it reaches £500.

With the Lions’ generosity the group hopes to raise enough money for two life-saving pumps with various other events planned including a parachute jump and busking sessions.

The group will hold a coffee morning and craft sale on June 30 at Yatton Village Hall. For more details call Cathy on 01278 780794.
