A charity which has helped hundreds of vulnerable people for several decades has issued a plea for volunteers.
Churchill and Langford Minibus Society, which is a lifeline for many people without access to transport, needs more drivers to ensure it can meet demand.
The minibus society, which has been running for four decades, has two vehicles and serves people living in Churchill, Langford, Burrington, Shipham, Banwell, Sandford and Winscombe.
Spokesman Alan Purcell said: “In recent times a number of our drivers have had to stand down due to either age or illness.
“We therefore need to recruit new drivers in order that we can continue to meet all the requests being made.
“Training is given to all drivers and we match journeys to their availability although most have a set day in the month they choose to work.”
