MORE than 100 pair of shoes were placed in Weston’s town centre to symbolise the number of women who die each year in England and Wales as a result of domestic abuse.
Supporters of North Somerset charity The Women’s Project carried this out to raise awareness of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women last week.
The charity was joined by other agencies on Wednesday to raise awareness of domestic abuse and offer advice to victims.
