MAGICIANS, face painting and live music helped make a Cheddar beer festival a weekend of fun.

The Cheddar Ales beer festival sold around 4,000 pints of ale from across the country.

The first barrels to go were Gorge Best, a best bitter from Cheddar Ales.

There were also around 800 pints of cider sold as well.

To entertain the families going to the festival, face-painting, live music and a storyteller were continuing the party atmosphere.

John Magill, business development manager said: “It went beyond all expectations.

“We had as many people as we could possibly squeeze in and everyone had a great night with no trouble at all.”
