Crowds gathered to cheer on their yellow ducks in the sunshine at The Cliffs in Cheddar Gorge on Monday.

The nice weather encouraged hundreds of people to purchase a plastic duck to compete in the race.

Cheddar Vale Lions Club hosted the event which helped to raise £1,400 for Children’s Hospice South West.

The hospice has been providing care to children with life-threatening illnesses for 25 years and care for 500 families across the region.

The club would like to thank the people who came along to
take part which ‘made the
most of a beautiful location
and created a fabulous atmosphere’.

The village duck race was sponsored by CHES (UK) Ltd, Craft Brothers Limited and BOS Security Systems which ensured all proceeds raised went to charity.
