Cheddar Gorge and Caves has hatched an underground egg hunt this Easter.

A team of expert cavers were enlisted to help hide a series of giant glow-in-the-dark eggs through the cave system.

The eggs were installed by instructors Paul Ballantyne and George Rodwell and the trail is now open to the public.

Mr Ballantyne said: “It proved to be quite a challenge to get some of the eggs into sections of the cave but the end result is really impressive.”

The Easter egg hunt will run from now until April 23. For more information, visit www.cheddargorge.co.uk or call 01934 742343.
