Police and firefighters were called to make the scene of an accident safe in Cheddar late last night (Wednesday).

Devon and Somerset Fire Service was called at 11pm to Cheddar Gorge after a road traffic collision in The Cliffs.

One vehicle was involved in the accident, but two fire crews from Cheddar and Wells attended the scene.

A spokesman from the fire service said: “Upon arrival crews confirmed all persons were free and clear and got to work to make the vehicle safe.

“Crews confirmed police were in attendance.”
