The Cheddar Vale Lions Club hosted a jumble sale in the village's hall last week.
Hundreds of donated items were displayed and the majority either sold on the day or delivered to local charities.
The event was held in the village hall, in Church Street, to raise money for the Lions’ charity work in the Cheddar Valley.
More than £350 was raised at the sale which saw hundreds of people pass through during the day.
Lion Sylvia Cook said: “Jumble sales may seem an old fashioned event to hold but they do encompass the ethos of Lions.
“They raise a small amount of money to use for our charity work in the community, they help those in need and on low incomes.
“It takes a dedicated and hard working team to put it all together.”
The Lions has more recently been raising money for its centennial project to install a number of defibrillators in the area.
