The Cheddar Vale Lions praised a young girl guide for her hard work and dedication to voluntary work.

Lizzie Arnold from the first Wedmore Guides was awarded a Young Leaders In Service Gold Award for her work in the community.

Lions’ president Janet Clark and the club’s youth officer Theresa Warrell gave a brief talk on the group’s involvement with the younger generation before presenting Lizzie with the award.

The club is a strong supporter of the younger population and were proud to present the award.
