TWO women who celebrated their birthdays in Highbridge have donated cash to a worthy cause.
TWO women who celebrated their birthdays in Highbridge have donated cash to a worthy cause.
Frances Hancock, aged 60, and Celia Barnes, aged 65, held their celebrations at Somerset Rebels Speedway in the Oak Tree Arena and asked for donations to the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer instead of presents.
Celia said: "I had breast cancer last year and while chatting over coffee Frances and I decided that health was more important than presents.
"If we can give something back it will be more worthwhile."
Family and friends of the two women donated £925 to the charity.
