A CHILD is being treated by paramedics after being involved in a collision with a car.

The incident, involving a boy believed to be about seven years old, happened opposite The Lamb Inn in Worle High Street this afternoon (Tues).

A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance Service said the boy had been involved in a collision with a car at about 2pm and that an ambulance crew assessed and treated him at the scene.

The spokesman added that it is not though the child sustained any serious injuries, but he has been taken to Weston General Hospital as a precaution.
