FAMILIES in North Somerset are benefiting from recent developments in NHS children's health services, which perform to a very high standard, according to a team of visiting inspectors. The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) was singled out for particular praise - as it is seeing more children than ever before and has developed specialist services and has short waiting times. The inspectors, from the Healthcare Commission, Ofsted and other agencies, conducted a review of health and social care for children. The health services are commissioned by North Somerset Primary Care Trust and provided by them and Weston Area Health Trust.
