TWO children were seriously injured in a road accident outside a Worle school.A four-year-old girl and a boy, aged nine, were crossing New Bristol Road outside Worle Community School when they were struck by a red Vauxhall Cavalier car. The girl was taken to Frenchay Hospital with serious head injuries and the boy went to Weston General Hospital with leg injuries. The girl is now at Bristol Children's Hospital where she remains in a serious but improving condition.New Bristol Road was closed for more than four hours after the incident at 3.50pm on June 30 and police believe a number of drivers will have witnessed the collision because it was a busy time of day.Anyone who has information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
