Schools raised thousands for the charity, which provides a safe, happy and secure environment for children across the UK.

At Locking Primary School, there was a mufti day on Friday. A Pudsey-themed cake was served and the school held a raffle.

At Mendip Green School in Worle, pupils came in pyjamas, bringing their own teddy bears to school.

Onsies were the look of the day at Worle Village Primary School while across the village St Martin’s Primary School pupils were encouraged to dress in brown and yellow, to match the bear himself.

Castle Beach Primary School also held a dress-down day, while Heron’s Moor and Baytree schools asked pupils to come in wearing anything spotty.

Avon Fire & Rescue Service raised £9,000 as its crews walked to every fire station in the area.
