PARENTS have praised children's centres in Somerset, with 90 per cent giving top marks in a survey about the service.
The professionalism and attitude of staff were rated the service’s top features.
Forty-five per cent of parents and guardians who used the service in one month filled in surveys and 1,445 were collected.
But the surveys did reveal room for improvement in information delivery, with 18 per cent rating the service at less than 7 out of 10 for receiving information about what to expect from their children’s centre.
Councillor John Osman, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “The overwhelmingly positive views of so many parents and carers who use our centres is reassuring.
“We will now focus our efforts on ways we can improve the service from analysis of the responses.”
