THE owners of a Weston café have handed over a cheque to Weston Hospicecare after holding a chocolate-themed Easter raffle.

Stones Café on Knightstone Island raised £160 through the raffle, which offered entrants 13 chocolatey prizes donated by the café and Bookers & Regency Purchasing.

Sarah Slade, co-owner of Stones Café, said: “We wanted to do something for charity and we asked our regular customers who they would like us to support.

“As we have supported Weston Hospicecare before we all decided that it was a great choice.”

Sarah has also completed the 20-mile Mercury Mendip Challenge, the Midnight Beach Walk and last year went to Peru in aid of the charity.
