A WESTON man is hoping to fly the flag for a pop group at the Eurovision Song Contest.Chris Solari, an assistant entertainments manager who lives and works at Sand Bay Holiday Village, came across a competition on the website for Eurovision hopefuls, pop group Scooch. The group has been chosen to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki in May with their entry Flying The Flag For You.When 21-year-old Chris saw that Scooch were running a competition to travel to the contest with them, he felt compelled to enter. He said: "They were asking for people to record a music or lip-synch video to the music of their song and that the winner would receive two return flights to go with them to Helsinki, including overnight accommodation and two tickets to see the final."With the help of some friends I took on the challenge, put on my flight attendant uniform and sang my heart out."Chris has now learned that he is one of the final five videos in the competition and the overall winner will be revealed by Scooch on April 28.
