BURNHAM'S Chamber of Trade and Commerce has been awarded £1,000 for the town's Christmas lights.
The money was given by councillor Mike Facey from the Somerset County Council Community Fund.
Chamber spokesman Alex Turco said: "We are grateful to Cllr Facey for considering our project and awarding the funds. We will now be able to continue our investment into the lighting display to make sure the town centre is attractive for shoppers this Christmas."
The light switch-on will take place on November 24. Details of the event will be released nearer the time.
