HOUSES throughout Cheddar will be judged on their Christmas lights for the first time this year.
During Cheddar Festive Night, which will be held on December 7, The Rotary Club of Mendip will judge every household that enters the best Christmas lights competition.
In past years, the chairman of the parish council has done the judging, and it has only been for houses in Cliff Street, one of the main procession roads.
Entry forms for house Christmas decorations are available from Cheddar Parish Council on the corner of Church Street and Bath Street. Entries must be returned no later than November 30.
