AFTER all the festive decorations have come down, revellers can have their Christmas trees shredded to help raise cash for a community group.
Volunteers who look after St George's Flower Bank, on Martcombe Road near Easton-in-Gordano, will be recycling the trees for a £1 donation to their funds.
The flower bank has been designated as a local nature reserve and a 30-strong group of dedicated volunteers look after the beauty spot on the A369.
People can take their trees along to Cross Lanes Allotments in Pill on January 6 or arrange for them to be collected, for the price of £2, by calling 01275 373450.
