A VILLAGE vicar held a special service to give thanks for the recent restoration work carried out on the parish church.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Bleadon underwent a makeover in 2014 which included repairs to its stonework and pointing along with complete rewiring, new heating and lighting and the installation of a new sound system.
Parishioners raised funds for the project and local businesses, charities and individuals also gave donations.
The service on Sunday was an opportunity for church leaders to say thank you to the people who were part of making the work happen.
