A Cheddar pub hosted a cider festival to raise money for two different causes.

The White Hart pub, in the Bays at the bottom of Cheddar Gorge, provided customers with a range of different ciders over the weekend and enjoyed a big turnout, despite some unwelcome rain.

The pub’s manager, Emily Cousins, said: “It went really well and we managed to raise £500 for two charities close to home. We are splitting the money between the Bristol Oncology Centre and the Make A Wish foundation.

“Two of our locals have benefited from these causes so they mean a lot to us.”
