A CIDER-LOVING groom had the ride of his life after his bride gave him a big surprise on their wedding day.

Thatchers Gold lover Jason Hill was surprised by bride-to-be Tracey Gunstone on Saturday, when she arranged for one of the cider makers lorries to pick him up from the Old Manor pub in Queensway, St Georges, and drop him off at The Batch Country Hotel in Lympsham, where the wedding took place.

The 38-year-old engineer, who says he hasn’t drunk anything else since falling in love with the cider five years ago, said: “I didn’t have a clue it was happening and I thought it was really funny. I thought it was absolutely brilliant.”
